Naqash family originally traces its genesis in the city of Kashan in (Turkmenistan). Our forefather Habibulah Naqash who was an eminent scholar and designer arrived in Kashmir during the reign of Zainul-Abidin Badshah (1420-1470).It is under his patronage that handicraft flourished in Kashmir. Since then Naqash family has established itself as one of valleys foremost Chainstitch Rugs Manufacturers and Suppliers in India.
Kashmir Valley Arts is a partnership organization operating under the supervision of Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Naqash whose rich experience in designing and manufacturing techniques has earned reputation for this small scale industry. His two sons, Zamir Naqash and Jameel Naqash, manage these departments respectively. These young men deal with the everyday challenges of production and trade, and take the firm's mission statement to heart, to maintain the reputation and prestige of this dynastic family business.
